Different people
Different priorities in life
Different ways of talking
see where we are now from whence we first met! it's been years, hasn't it?
Sometimes their jokes just go way past my head
Or perhaps I'm just slow, which is usually the case
or perhaps i'm tired of using my brain to pay attention
not enough sleep i think

But no matter how different, fundamentally we're still the same
wanting the same things
love, peace and happiness
kindness, friendliness,respect
care and concern for one another
We're different but differences know no boundaries
it just takes friendliness
and other person centredness
humility to be at their level
with honesty and sincerity
and laughter that gives you a tummy ache
it loosens the boundaries
lightens the air
until hopefully shallow becomes deep
and forms a bond
no matter where we are and when we meet again.
